Job Description
RCH Solutions is seeking a Senior Snowflake Architect to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize our Snowflake data architecture to support analytics, data science, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing complex ETL processes, optimizing database performance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Job Description
RCH Solutions is seeking a Senior Snowflake Architect to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize our Snowflake data architecture to support analytics, data science, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing complex ETL processes, optimizing database performance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
Specific focuses and responsibilities include:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient Snowflake data architectures aligned with business requirements
- Develop data modeling strategies and implement best practices for Snowflake environments
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into Snowflake from various sources (e.g., APIs, databases, flat files). Optimize data flows for performance and scalability.
- Establish data governance standards, security controls, and access management protocols
- Integrate Snowflake with various third-party tools, data lakes, and data warehouses (e.g., AWS S3). Use data integration platforms like Matillion, Talend, or Informatica for data workflows.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, cost management, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Mentor team members on Snowflake technologies and best practices
- Implement data quality monitoring and validation processes
- Document architecture decisions, configurations, and operational procedures
Essential Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles
- Proven experience in developing and managing data solutions in Snowflake, including creating databases, schemas, tables, stages, file formats, and virtual warehouses.
- Snowflake Core Certification
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and their integration with Snowflake, particularly cloud storage services (e.g., S3).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling techniques
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools (such as Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, or similar)
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Bash for data automation, orchestration, and integration tasks.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, normalization, denormalization).
- Knowledge of data integration patterns and data pipeline development
- Understanding of data governance principles and security best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Snowflake Specialty or Advanced Certifications
- AWS Cloud Certifications
- Experience with Python, Scala, or other programming languages
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Experience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines
- Background in implementing data mesh or data fabric architectures
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
